This tour of Sapa 2 days by night train from Hanoi to uncover the hill tribe culture of this Sapa mountainous area. Visit Lao Chai, Ta Van minority villages, feel a warm welcome at any house of the hospitable people there. You can interact with them and learn about their culture and customs.

The trekking: This tour comes with a slight trek through the hill tribe village (5-7km/day), we also arrange car transferring on the way back to hotel. Car transferring both ways is available upon your request.
Homestay is totally different from hotel due to its basic and simple facilities.
Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.
What to bring: Trekking boot, sun block, hat, anti-insect repellent, sunglasses, rain coat, toiletries, original passport.. because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in November, December, January, February and March.
Night train Hanoi to Lao Cai: 20.00 car picks up at hotel in Hanoi and transfer to the train station to get on the night train to Lao Cai. Spend the night on train in a deluxe cabin (shared 4 berths/cabin, air-conditioned)
Lao Cai – Sapa (B, L, D)
Arrive in Lao Cai early morning, meet our guide and take 1hr car ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Upon arrival in Sapa town, have breakfast at a local restaurant and take a rest or walk around Sapa town, discover colorful ethnic market.
Be ready for a beautiful hike through the breathtaking scenery of Sapa valley. Start by road that descends in the wake of the street Cau May (6km). En route, admire the rice terraces hidden behind mist of the morning, a truly awe-inspiring sight. Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well tended rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van (the rice season from Jun to Sep). As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of human, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns.
Have lunch at a home in the village with typical local food. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. Take a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh. Then start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.
Dinner at your own and overnight in Sapa.

Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)
Get ready for our new fun & informative day. You first sneak through the market and leave the busy town behind. After a couple of minutes, you will follow a road going downhill to Cat Cat village. You will stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station. Take a rest here before you trek downhill to get Sin Chai village. Get on car and drive back to Sapa town for lunch.
Checkout hotel and Free time in the afternoon to discover the town by yourself (you can opt for a trip to Fansipan summit by cable car, please contact for additional cost)
16.00 transfer to Lao Cai station for overnight train back to Hanoi.
Arrive back to Hanoi early morning following day around 4.30am, taxi to hotel on your own. Tour ends.
