Unfold a 3-day escape from Hanoi to Pu Luong, unveiling the charm of village life and scenic wonders. Day 1 introduces quaint villages and mesmerizing water wheels, followed by thrilling rafting adventures. Day 2 unfolds with caving expeditions, horseback riding, and refreshing swims. The final day showcases iconic rice terraces before immersing in the artistry of local brocade weaving, culminating in a cultural journey amid Pu Luong’s captivating landscapes.
DAY 1: HANOI – PU LUONG (L, D)
07:00 AM: Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter.
The drive to Pu Luong takes about 4 hours if the roads are clear.
10:00 AM: We’ll stop for a quick break halfway through the trip. You can enjoy the beautiful villages along the way.
12:00 PM: We’ll arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve and have lunch at a local restaurant. You can then check into your room (usually check-in is at 02:00 PM) and relax for a bit.
01:30 PM: Time for an afternoon trekking.
We’ll drive to Ban Cong and then walk for 2.5km. We’ll cross a bridge to get to one of Pu Luong’s prettiest villages with a big stream. Along the river, you’ll see beautiful views, rice fields, and village life. You can keep an eye out for the giant water wheels, which are really cool inventions.
Next, we’ll experience bamboo rafting at Chieng Lau Dam. You’ll paddle the raft upstream with local people and have fun on the river.
03:00 PM: The raft will land on the other side of the river. Then, we’ll take another 2km walk through rice fields and villages, making a loop. We’ll meet our driver on the main road and head back to the hotel by 05:00 PM.
In the evening, you can join in a cooking class. We’ll have a delicious dinner at 07:00 PM, then you can spend the rest of the night to relax. Overnight at your hotel in Pu Luong.
DAY 2: PU LUONG – MOTORCYCLING (B, L, D)
07:00 AM: Wake up and enjot a tasty breakfast.
09:00 AM: Get ready for a fun motorcycle ride through the jungle and rice fields to visit the largest cave and waterfall in Pu Luong.
First, we’ll ride to Kho Muong, a small, tucked-away Thai village. You’ll see what life is like in the village and explore Bat cave, the biggest cave in Pu Luong.
11:00 AM: We’ll say goodbye to Kho Muong and ride to Hieu village. It’s a relaxing ride through the countryside, and you’ll really feel connected to nature.
After a short walk, we’ll find a special waterfall in Pu Luong Nature Reserve and have a nice lunch surrounded by the sounds of nature.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy swimming in the clear water and exploring village life. You also can walk around and see how people live here. We’ll ride back to the hotel by 04:00 PM so you can relax.
In the evening, you can join a cooking class to learn how to make Vietnamese food. Dinner is at 07:00 PM, and then you can spend the rest of the night as you please. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 3: PU LUONG – HANOI (B, L)
07:00 AM: Have breakfast and get ready for the day. We’ll leave at 08:30 AM.
08:45 AM: We’ll take a relaxing walk down the valley to Don Village, the heart of Pu Luong. The path winds through huge rice fields, and the scenery changes as we go. You can take lots of pictures. We’ll then walk to Uoi, a hamlet nestled at the base of a mountain.
We’ll walk down to Lan Village, where about 100 Thai families live. It’s sometimes called the “Kingdom of Thai People in Pu Luong”. You can choose to bike or walk around here. You’ll see streams, farms, ducks, and friendly locals. You can even watch them make traditional brocade fabric. After that, we’ll head back to the hotel to check out by 11:30 AM and have lunch.
01:00 PM: Get ready for the bus ride back to Hanoi.
06:30 PM: We arrive in Hanoi and drop you off at your hotel. End of services.
